Folklorama, Nine Years Growing a Cultural Celebration!

Folklorama advertising campaigns helped grow attendance significantly while maintaining strict budgets.

Velocity Branding (Spacecadet Design) developed all of the advertising for Folklorama from 2000 through 2008. The campaigns target not only the Winnipeg population but advertised across other provinces and the northern United States as well. We worked together with Folklorama to develop new yearly campaigns including concept, writing and taglines, design and photography. Our 2006 and 2007 campaign theme ‘Hot Summer Nights’ had huge audience retention and recall. Folklorama attendance consistently grew year over year. Different media strategies were used over the years, including all media types: print media (newspaper, magazine), outdoor and bus, radio, television and web/online advertising.
